My name is Alex McHallam. I am a Mosaic artist. My work is often abstract and I use a variety of materials in my work ranging from found objects, household crockery (the unremarkable made remarkable) through to more traditional tessarae.  I like the texture of Mosaics, I like the way the tessarae not only have an intensity of colour but also reflect light, which adds another dimension to the work.

I am based in London.   I work on school and community projects and I am happy to discuss commissions.

I also run a weekly mosaic class in Bethnal Green.  Please contact me  if you would like more information about this.  The classes are every Tuesday evening.
